Ineke Wallis is a proud First Nations woman, community leader, youth advocate and governance professional with extensive experience working across remote Aboriginal communities, local government, community-controlled organisations and leadership initiatives throughout the Northern Territory.

With more than a decade of experience in governance, executive leadership support, Aboriginal engagement and community development, Ineke has worked closely with communities, government agencies, Traditional Owners and stakeholders to strengthen culturally informed decision-making and partnerships.

Ineke is fluent in Yolngu Matha and is deeply committed to advancing self-determination, health and wellbeing, youth empowerment and Closing the Gap Priority Reforms.

Alongside her governance and leadership work, Ineke is also a qualified dance teacher, international speaker and passionate advocate for First Nations human rights. She has represented Indigenous voices internationally through the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) in Geneva and has delivered workshops and youth engagement programs across remote communities.

Through First Nations Leadership NT, Ineke brings together lived experience, governance expertise and community leadership to create meaningful change for communities, organisations and future generations.
